Reunion's material guide
We work mainly with linen, viscose and cotton, but here you can learn more about all the materials we use in our clothes.
ACRYLIC
Acrylic is a synthetic fiber, which is often used as a sub -component in knitted clothes because it has similar properties as wool.
It is easy to take care of acrylic materials and it lasts a long time. The fibers keep their shape well and the material is easy to wash.
Acrylic dries quickly and has an excellent ability to pull moisture away from the body.
Elastan
Elastan is a polyurethane fiber, which is produced chemically. It is an elastic and stretchable fiber, which is found under the name Lycra. The material is usually used together with other materials to make the fabric more stretchable. The elastane is heat sensitive and to avoid the material being destroyed or shrinking, you should not dry or wash at high temperatures.
Cotton manchester
Cotton manchester, also called Corduroy, is cotton woven in twenty parallel threads that form clear grooves in the fabric.
As cotton it is durable and you follow the washing instructions in the clothes it lasts long and good.
COTTON
Cotton is a textile fiber that grows on the cotton bush. Cotton is by far the most common textile material used in clothing.
The material is moisturized and comfortable to wear.
Cotton is durable and can withstand heat well, but if it is washed in too high temperatures, there is a risk that it will shrink.
Cotton Poplin
Cotton Poplin is a process of cotton that becomes slightly smoother and glossier than regular cotton.
The material is touched -bound, which means that there are twice as many threads in length as cross.
Here, too, it is recommended to follow washing instructions and not wash in for hot temperatures.
TANK TOP
Lin comes from the stalk on the flax flower and is a durable natural fiber. The material is heat regulating and gives cool when it hot and heats when it is cold. The linen's hypoallergenic and antistatic properties together give a very small tendency to compare allergic reactions. Feel free to store your linen garments dark and dry and wash according to instructions on the garment, hanging dryer dryer on low heat for best durability.
MOHAIR
Mohair is wool from Angorageten, the fibers are rippled and slightly shiny and elastic and are used either clean or other materials usually in coats and knitted garments. Fiber thickness varies considerably depending on the age of the animal and hence the quality. Mohairull is generally more durable than sheep wool, but be careful to be careful about which accessory duu uses with your knitted garments, with the risk that it will be bumpy because the long fiber winners together on the surface. You can regularly be nipped off the knitted garments with a brush or a noppare.
POLYESTER
Polyester is a strong and durable material that is naturally water repellent and is the most common synthetic fiber and our second most common clothing material after cotton. Because polyester is a synthetic material, high heat and heat can break down the fibers and damage the fabric. Therefore, avoid washing your polyester garments in for hot water, air dry or drying polyester at a low temperature high temperature can cause the garments to shrink.
POLYAMIDE
Polyamide, which is known, among other things, by the name Nylon, is strong and elastic. Polyamide is like polyester very water repellent, which means that the material is dried and almost never shrinks or wrinkles. Polyamide garments can attract dust and smell, which means that garments in this material need to be washed relatively often, it is then best to avoid too high heat and follow the washing thread on the garment.
Viscose
Viscose is cotton -like and is made from cellulose from spruce, birch or other trees. The fiber can also be based on cotton. Viscose is counted as a synthetic fiber even though it is based on natural materials. Viscose can consist of infinitely long, shiny fibers, similar to silk, or of carpet, short fibers, which are more reminiscent of cotton and wool. Viscose should be handled with care and has a tendency to shrink something. You can easily get the shape back by ironing or steama garment when it is a little slightly moist.
Silk/silk
Silk & Silk - The silk mask spins a thread inside its cocoon that you dissolve and spin into a silk thread. The silk thread then weaves the silk which is a strong, smooth and dirt repellent fiber material. There are thus garments that are completely made in the silk, and those containing a certain proportion of silk. The material breathes well and also has a good quality and lasts for a very long time if you take care of it properly. Silk or silk is a delicate material to be treated carefully. Therefore, only wash the silk when you really need, hang airy and breathe between use. Feel free to use a laundry bag.
