I just had my first official Italian language lesson. I've struggled with Duolingo for years.
But suddenly in 1.5 hours I get better input and get straight into the language.
Total beginner level but with a focus on communication and conversation.

It's hard to leave Italy this time.
Last night I lay awake and was genuinely sad that I only had a day left. It is so easy to flow into everyday life here. I live on a hill.
Alone 9 months a year. The other 3 months are June, July, August - then all the houses are full of people from all over the world. But then WE have Österlen.
.
You just have to love a country that has spring heat 8 months a year. The light, the sun, life, nature, the old worn houses.
The food. The love of food. Respect for each other. All ages are important. Perhaps my age is most important right now.
You are listened to. When I cook, I wait for my guests to start eating until I also sat down at the table. So of course here. Mom La donna.

.
And yet. I love Österlen. And I can't imagine another day without my dogs. And my crew.
This fabulous cast of stars who work just as well with me remotely as they do face to face. See you tomorrow. So much mischief, so many projects we have to launch.
And then we'll hug ♥️
.
Tonight the sun shines over the hills. The hailstorms and thunderstorms are forgiven and far gone.
My day has been accompanied by a saw blade and eager Italian voices from the small house building below.
I got hold of a stamp/francobollo for my letter. I bought a treat from the baker. I have prepared the house for guests who may want to visit and enjoy a few days.
Water, coffee, cola, pasta, pesto. If you come in the middle of the night, there is always a meal or two in the cupboards.

.
This day has been a dream.
